Overview

A full structural replacement that restored weather protection, security, and a premium finish to a failing rear entrance.

The challenge

The 1990s conversion had deteriorated, with the floor screeded almost level to the door bottom, causing drainage and weather protection issues.

There was no proper structural frame, leaving the door unstable and insecure.

The entrance was inefficient, unattractive, and vulnerable to further deterioration.

The client needed a long-term solution that improved performance, appearance, and security.

Our approach

We removed the existing installation and assessed the structural opening.

A completely new timber door frame and door were designed and manufactured to suit the property.

Accoya timber was selected for durability, dimensional stability, and rot resistance.

The door and frame were finished in Dark Knight stain for a contemporary, high-end look.

We installed a modern multi-point locking system with Stonebridge lever handles for smooth operation and security.

The result

The new frame and door now sit correctly, providing proper weather protection, insulation, and a secure fit.

The Dark Knight finish adds depth and elegance, while the hardware delivers a solid, premium feel.

The rear entrance is now a standout feature combining durability, security, and refined design.
